Seed-sowing for two
Count the seeds. Read the board.
A seed-sowing game for two. Sow seeds around twelve pits, capture your opponent's seeds, and win through careful counting. Play with a friend or practice against the computer.
A board for two
Each player owns six pits. Choose one and sow its seeds around the board. A well-timed move captures seeds from the other side; the first player to capture 25 wins.

Choose your match
- With a friend: sign in, share a room code, and approve your guest. Rematches need both players' agreement.
- Solo practice: try three computer levels with optional guidance. Practice is unranked.
A good first session: try the seven-seed lesson, then play a Novice practice round. Before each move, count its landing pit and check what you leave for the next player. Move to Medium or Expert (Oba) when you can explain your captures without hints.
About Ayo Online
Published by Zomola for teens and adults, this game draws on the West African Ayo and Awari family. Its original patterns are inspired by adire and aso oke textiles.
Regional rules vary; this app uses the variant in our guide. Both pages are free to read without an account. For data and account controls, see Privacy and Delete account.
The lessons use the same rule engine as our games, so their seed counts and captures are reproducible. This guide explains our version rather than claiming one universal traditional ruleset. For rule questions or corrections, contact Zomola.
